Leo Horoscope Personality

Leo Characteristics and Profile

(July 23 - August 22)
The Lion is considered the king of the jungle, and likewise you Leos have an air of royalty about you. Some Leos even have hair resembling the thick mane of the Lion. But Lions are more than roar, for they are truly magnificent beasts. The Lioness proudly cares for the young, hunts and takes care of survival with relentless intent and ferocity, when needed. And proud are you Leo! Perhaps that's why Leo often chooses work that puts you in the center of stage or in the spotlight of appreciation.

Leo are warm of spirit, eager for action and are driven by a desire to be loved for what you bring to others. Leo are a magnanimous leader and a faithful servant. Once scorned in love, however, Leo will withdraw your affections and the light, once brilliant, can go cold.

Leo motto might be "What you see is what you get." You tend to live your live straightforwardly and with a flair for drama. In fact, many Leos are attracted to the theater, the performing arts and public relations, for you truly understand the importance of putting on a good presentation. As you blaze gloriously through your life, remember to take time to acknowledge the feelings of those around you. If you forget, you could unconsciously hurt someone you love. But, if you remain aware your impact, others can benefit from your presence.

Element: Fire

Fire signs are naturally warm. A fire gives light and heat, but it doesn't get depleted as others feed on its warmth. One candle can bring light to a room and it won't burn any faster if ten people read from its light than if there was only one. Fire doesn't plan it next move; it isn't logical. It simply is in the moment and will burn what fuel is available without judgment or forethought. For this reason fire signs can successfully rely on their intuition and survival instincts.

The fire of Leo is brilliant and intense. It's like the summer Sun that relentlessly shows up every day and whose heat continues to build over a period of time.

Fifth House: Children

The Fifth House is directly related to children, but it is also associated with any type of childlike activity. Even grown-ups need to play and this is a function of the Fifth House. In fact, all self-expression and creativity comes from this sector. Additionally, this is the House of Romantic Love. Truly, the Fifth House could be called the House of Enjoyment.

Key Planet: Sun

The Sun is the undisputed King of our little planetary system. He is always in the center. Without his light, there would be no life here on earth. Although the Sun is 93 million miles distant, its warmth is the basis for all energy on Earth. Astrologically, the Sun represents our will. It's like the fuel that fires each of our individual furnaces and gives us cause to live. As the key planet of Leo, the Sun is the symbol of the self and from it stems all individuality and creativity.

Your Biggest Strength: Your playful and loving nature

Your Potential Weakness: Need for approval can become too important

Cancer Horoscope

Cancer Characteristics and Profile

(June 21 - July 22)
Crabs live in the inter-tidal zone of the oceans, where tides rise and fall twice every day. This is the most dynamic and changeful place on earth, but also the most nutrient rich. Because of the constant change, Cancer have developed a hard outer shell for protection. Cancer can use the hard outer shell of your home as your protection. But it's more than just that. Typically, your sensitive Cancer can hold your feelings quietly behind your own walls.

Crabs also have large pinching claws, and Cancer can hold onto things, especially from the past. Cancer are fiercely loyal and have a difficult time letting go. But Cancer are also quick to bring those you love inside the safety of your outer shell while you nurture them. Cancer love is protective, but unless tempered, can be smothering.

Cancer motto could be, "A good defense is the best offense." Like a Crab in its cave, your attack can consist of baiting your opponent into your territory. What appears to be a retreat to others can be your best aggressive tactic. As you feel your way through life, building your security by developing your home and family relationships, remember that unexpressed anger can turn into resentment and depression, so find someone you can trust and share your feelings.

Element: Water

Astrologically, the water element symbolizes emotion. Water runs deep; it seeks its own level and will flow until it has found it. The cycle of water is endless with the snows falling in the mountains and melting. The mountain streams join to make the great rivers that run to the sea. The tides and currents churn the oceans. Similarly, our feelings are flowing as they connect the present with past experiences. Sometimes the waters are so deep that we cannot put words to our feelings.

The water of Cancer is that of the changing tides. Regular rhythms that bring food and nurture the creatures who live there. But this is also about the water of a smoothly surfaced lake. No movement is apparent, yet beneath the surface there is movement, currents and much hidden activity.

Fourth House: Home and Family

The Fourth House is related to the mother. It is where we are nurtured, and takes in not only our real mother, but all those who nurture us -- especially early in life. This is the house of childhood surroundings. It is where we retreat from the noise of the outer world.

Key Planet: Moon

The Moon is always changing, not even the same two nights in a row. It races around the Earth once a "month," and as such we are familiar with her regularly repeating patterns. Women's menstrual cycles are naturally tied to the lunar rhythm, putting them in closer touch with the subconscious realms of the Moon. But to man and woman alike, the Moon is the key to our feelings and our emotional cycles. As the key planet of Cancer, the Moon symbolizes our basic needs -- how we need to be nurtured and how we nurture others.

Your Biggest Strength: Your ability to nurture others

Your Potential Weakness: Fear of the past repeating in the future

World End 21,December 2012.Do you Believe it?

The Mayan calendar finishes one of its great cycles in December 2012, which has fueled countless theories about the end of the world on December 21, 2012 at 11:11(UTC).

End of days? Will the world keep spinning after the Maya Calendar ends? Most likely!

One theory suggests a galactic alignment which would create chaos on Earth because of the gravitational effect between the Sun and the Black hole called Sagittarius A, which is located at the center of our galaxy.
Another theory involves a 'polar shift', which means a reversal of the north and south magnetic poles.
Scientists believe that the Earth is overdue for a geomagnetic reversal. However, this can take up to 5,000 years to complete and does not start on any particular date.

NASA scientists have thoroughly studied and analyzed the possibility of the Earth ending in 2012, and have concluded that 21st December 2012 will be nothing more than a normal December solstice.
There is simply no scientific evidence to support any claims of an apocalypse on Earth on December 21, 2012.

No planetary alignment

In response to theories about planetary alignments leading to an apocalypse on Earth on December 21, 2012, scientists say no planetary alignments is likely to occur in the next few decades. And even if they did, the effects on our planet would be negligible.
NASA scientists also claim that the 'polar shift' theory is totally impossible. Although continents move slowly throughout time, a magnetic reversal is very unlikely to happen in the next few millennia and would not cause any harm to life on Earth.
The scientists' conclusion is that the end of the Mayan calendar does not imply the end of the world, only the end of the Mayan long-count period. The 'long count' is a part of the Maya calendar shaped like a wheel. When we reach the end of the wheel, it will turn to the beginning again, just like our modern Gregorian calendar starts again every January 1.

11 May 1981, Miami, Florida, USA (Metastatic skin cancer)

Birth Name
Robert Nesta Marley

Height

Mini Biography
Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945, in Nine Miles, Saint Ann, Jamaica, to Norval Marley and Cedella Booker. His father was a Jamaican of English descent. His mother was a black teenager. The couple planned to get married but Norval left Kingston before this could happen. Norval died in 1955, seeing his son only once.

Bob Marley started his career with the Wailers, a group he formed with Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingston in 1963. Marley married Rita Marley in February 1966, and it was she who introduced him to Rastafarianism. By 1969 Bob, Tosh and Livingston had fully embraced Rastafarianism, which greatly influence Marley's music in particular and on reggae music in general. The Wailers collaborated with Lee Scratch Perry, resulting in some of the Wailers' finest tracks like "Soul Rebel", "Duppy Conquerer", "400 Years" and "Small Axe." This collaboration ended bitterly when the Wailers found that Perry, thinking the records were his, sold them in England without their consent. However, this brought the Wailers' music to the attention of Chris Blackwell, the owner of Island Records.

Blackwell immediately signed the Wailers and produced their first album, "Catch a Fire". This was followed by "Burnin'", featuring tracks as "Get Up Stand Up" and "I Shot the Sheriff." Eric Clapton's cover of that song reached #1 in the US. In 1974 Tosh and Livingston left the Wailers to start solo careers. Marley later formed the band "Bob Marley and the Wailers", with his wife Rita as one of three backup singers called the I-Trees. This period saw the release of some groundbreaking albums, such as "Natty Dread", "Rastaman Vibration".

In 1976, during a period of spiraling political violence in Jamaica, an attempt was made on Marley's life. Marley left for England, where he lived in self-exile for two years. In England "Exodus" was produced, and it remained on the British charts for 56 straight weeks. This was followed by another successful album, "Kaya." These successes introduced reggae music to the western world for the first time, and established the beginning of Marley's international status.

In 1977 Marley consulted with a doctor when a wound in his big toe would not heal. More tests revealed malignant melanoma. He refused to have his toe amputated as his doctors recommended, claiming it contradicted his Rastafarian beliefs. Others, however, claim that the main reason behind his refusal was the possible negative impact on his dancing skills. The cancer was kept secret from the general public while Bob continued working.

Returning to Jamaica in 1978, he continued work and released "Survival" in 1979 which was followed by a successful European tour. In 1980 he was the only foreign artist to participated in the independence ceremony of Zimbabwe. It was a time of great success for Marley, and he started an American tour to reach blacks in the US. He played two shows at Madison Square Garden, but collapsed while jogging in NYC's Central Park on September 21, 1980. The cancer diagnosed earlier had spread to his brain, lungs and stomach. Bob Marley died in a Miami hospital on May 11, 1981. He was 36 years old.

Pregnant Man

Pregnant man and new girlfriend talk babies and how Thomas will have a C-section if he wants to give birth

'Pregnant man' Thomas Beatie and his new girlfriend are not ruling out having babies, but it may not be Beatie who will be the one to give birth this time.
The transgender, who made headlines four years ago when he became pregnant after marrying wife Nancy in 2003, had genital reconstructive surgery in February of this year.
Though getting pregnant has not totally been ruled out - as he could deliver the baby by C-section - doctors have advised against it, saying it is very risky.

When Anderson asked the couple about having babies together and who would likely carry the child, Thomas said: 'Hypothetically we have talked about starting a family together and we would have to check out our fertility options.
'Right now we have some of the same sperm used with the three children that I've had. We have two vials left at California Bank and there's a clinic in San Francisco that we might seek advice from.'
His oldest child with estranged wife Nancy is four-years-old and Thomas said she already knows that her daddy was pregnant, yet understands that women get pregnant too.

'My oldest Susan has seen the cover of my book where I am pregnant and she knows that she was inside me,' he said.
'I don't know when she knew but I think she's just known all along she saw me pregnant with her brothers.
'We are going to have that conversation if she wants to know about the nitty gritty later. What this is to her is normal and we had to show pictures of Nancy pregnant with her other daughters to show that women also get pregnant.
'But this was a way for us to start a family and I love them that much that I was willing to do whatever it took to have them.'

Divorcing: 'Pregnant Man' Thomas Beatie, right, is hoping to divorce his wife Nancy, left. However, an Arizona judge is not convinced their marriage was legal in the first place
Beatie is trying to divorce Nancy but the motion is being blocked by an Arizona judge who says the marriage is not valid because Thomas is not a man. Same sex marriage is illegal in Arizona.
Thomas has called the judge's decision 'frustrating'.
'I live my life, I know who I am and someone else's opinion, even though it is a Judge's opinion is not going to change that. I am Thomas, I am husband, I am father, I am a man, hear me roar,' he said.
Anderson Cooper pointed out that he could get the marriage annulled but Thomas, though recognizing it would be the easiest thing to do says: 'My marriage did happen and I was married to Nancy for almost ten years, we paid taxes, we bought and sold homes, we started a family together and I want that to be validated. It's being challenged right now so if I back down from it we all lose.'
Thomas and new love Amber met at his children's school where she works.
Speaking about what it is like to date the world's most famous transgender, she said: 'My friends, they're kind of always joking and asking questions like, "How did this happen? How does this work?"
Just funny things but really my friends and family are very supportive of us and they love Thomas.'
More babies: 'Hypothetically we have talked about starting a family together and we would have to check out our fertility options'

Thomas's marriage to first wife Nancy reached a bitter end when footage of her appearing to violently attack her husband, mishandle their children and destroy their computer emerged.
He has previously claimed that Nancy was a violent alcoholic who would attack him in the night and once punched him in the crotch in front of the kids.
In May, a judge gave Beatie temporary full custody over the couple’s three children.
He said: 'It's been a process. We physically separated back in March when I filed for separation and there was a protective order but basically I didn't wear my wedding ring for a year prior to that.
'We were supposed to finalize the divorce back a couple of months ago and the Judge is thinking it's out of jurisdiction and potentially could rule it as same sex marriage.'

The Arizona judge has highlighted that Beatie has a womb and has given birth to the couple’s three children during their nine-year marriage.
According to TMZ, the judge argues that he cannot find any legal authority that defines a man as someone who is able to give birth.
However, Beatie has filed documents hoping to prove his marriage’s legitimacy, highlighting that both his U.S. passport and his Hawaii birth certificate list him as a man.
Mr Beatie was born as a woman, Tracy Lagondino, in Hawaii in 1974, but says he always felt like he wanted to be a man.
When he was in his 20s he began having testosterone injections, giving him facial hair, a lower voice and altering his sexual organs.
The couple met shortly after Beatie began taking the testosterone. Nancy is 11 years older than him and has two teenage daughters, Amber and Jen, from a previous marriage.
But at the age of 28 she had a hysterectomy because of severe endometriosis - where cells from the lining of the womb are found elsewhere in the body - so she couldn’t have any more children.
Thomas had already had a mastectomy to remove his breasts, and hormone treatment that gave him an outwardly male appearance.
But he chose to keep his female sexual organs so the couple could have children.
They bought sperm from an anonymous donor and Beatie underwent artificial insemination.
He eventually fell pregnant with Susan in late 2007 and had his next two children in quickly after, as he only had a short window of not taking testosterone.
He posed for a famous picture in 2007 which displayed him as heavily pregnant but with facial hair.
He told Oprah on her show four years ago: 'I wanted to have a child one day. I didn't know how. It was just a dream.'

    Heaven

Heaven, the Heavens or Seven Heavens, is a common religious, cosmologicalmythological, or metaphysical term for the physical ortranscendent place from which heavenly beings (such as a Godangels, the jinn, and sky deities like King or Queen of HeavenHeavenly FatherHeavenly Mother, Son of Heaven, heavenly saints or venerated ancestors) originate, are enthroned or inhabit. It is commonly believed that heavenly beings can descend to earth or incarnate and that earthly beings can ascend to Heaven in the afterlife or, in exceptional cases, enter Heaven alive.
Heaven is often described as a "higher place", the holiest place, a Paradise, in contrast to Hell or the Underworld or the "low places", anduniversally or conditionally accessible by earthly beings according to various standards of divinitygoodnesspietyfaith, or other virtuesor right beliefs or simply the Will of God. Some believe in the possibility of a Heaven on Earth in a World to Come.
Another belief is in an Axis mundi or World tree which connects the heavens, the world, and the underworld. In Indian religions, Heaven is considered as Svarga loka, and soul is again subjected to rebirth in different living forms according to its karma. This cycle can be broken after a soul achieves Moksha or Nirvana.

    Etymology

The modern English word heaven is derived from the earlier (Middle Englishheven (attested 1159); this in turn was developed from the previous Old English form heofon. By c. 1000, heofon was being used in reference to the Christianized "place where God dwells", but originally, it had signified "sky, firmament"[1] (e.g. in Beowulf, c. 725). The English term has cognates in the otherGermanic languagesOld Saxon heĆ€an "sky, heaven", Middle Low German heven "sky", Old Icelandic himinn "sky, heaven", Gothic himins; and those with a variant final -lOld Frisian himel, himul "sky, heaven", Old Saxon/Old High German himilDutch hemel, and modern German Himmel. All of these have been derived from a reconstructed Proto-Germanic form *Hemina-.[2] In many languages, the word for "heaven" is the same as the word for "sky".
